Penny Thomas

Penny graduated in Mathematics from Liverpool University. After graduation she set up her own business selling specialist sports clothing on both a Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer basis. Penny moved into financial recruitment 5 years ago at Ardent, starting with recruiting Part-Qualified accountants, before moving into the temporary and interim market for Cheshire, Staffordshire, North Wales and The Wirral. Since 2007 she has managed the South Manchester team, and recruited senior level candidates on a permanent basis in the same area. From April 2009 Penny’s area was extended to include Shropshire.

Penny’s main passions are Sailing and Skiing: “I was brought up practically on a boat! I am part of a ten man crew on a Prima 38, which we race competitively on the Mersey and around the country. When it gets too cold for that I try and get over to the Alps for a bit of skiing. This doesn’t normally leave much time for other hobbies, although I do try and get to the gym occasionally!”
