Our Experience

Although Ardent is a relatively new name in the recruitment sector we have a long and distinguished history. Ardent was formed in December 2007 through a management buyout of the Manchester, Leeds and Midlands operations of ECHM and Imprint Search & Selection.

The business originally commenced trading in 1992 as Hitchenor Maher, became HMI Group, then ECHM through a merger in 2003 and was acquired by Imprint Plc in 2005.

We have a reputation for service excellence and a track record that has established our business as one of the premier recruitment companies across the North and Midlands.

Our Chief Executive, David Colgrave, has been with the group since 1993 when he joined as a Consultant. Our board of Director's has well over fifty year's recruitment experience, the vast majority of which has been accumulated in the Northern regional market. Their experience and expertise is unparalelled.

We source and recruit high calibre candidates across a wide range of professional disciplines for a client portfolio that includes almost all of the regions "Blue-Chip" Plcs, medium to large businesses and many entrepreneurial SMEs.

Our Consultants are specialists, by discipline, level and geography. We believe our true value to our customers lies in our expertise, our knowledge of the market and the "experience" they receive when working with us. All of these factors have been developed and enhanced over many years in this market and enable us to be a better judge of talent than many others in our market.

In recent years we have led the market in developing leading edge technologies and on-line products/ services but at heart Ardent is a traditional, quality driven recruitment consultancy.
