Tax Managers

Posted: 08/10/2008   |   Status:  New Job

Wellington, New Zealand | Permanent
£45000 per annum

Wellington is the southern-most capital city in the world and is New Zealand's political centre, housing Parliament and the head offices of all Government Ministries and Departments. Wellington's compact city centre supports an arts scene, café culture and nightlife much larger than most cities of a similar size; in fact, it is said to boast more cafes per capita than New York City. It is also the hub of New Zealand's film and theatre industry, where the eastern suburb of Miramar lays claim to one of the world's most acclaimed film-making infrastructures.

Our Big 4 client currently has several vacancies for Tax Managers, based in its city centre offices, due to expansion within the specialist tax consulting team. These positions have the potential to offer a varied workload, involving anything from reviewing a tax return prepared by a client, to researching an overseas tax credit issue, to preparing opinions on financial transactions. Or you could be assisting your client through an IRD investigation or helping a team considering a proposed business restructure.

Candidates will need to have previous management experience to step into this role as hitting the ground running is essential. You must also maintain a highly organised and motivated approach to your work whilst displaying a passion for excellent client service and building strong relationships. Previous experience within international tax would be a distinct advantage, but is not essential.

New Zealand is regarded as providing one of the highest standards of living in the world; whilst salaries appear lower in £ sterling terms, they directly reflect the lower cost of living in this area as opposed to the UK.
